The House of Representatives under former Speaker Kevin McCarthy promised a floor vote on term limits. This was one of the concessions won by conservatives during that battle for the Speaker of the House.

The committee defeated the bill in September 2023, meaning it won't get a vote for the remainder of this year. So we are concentrating our efforts to reintroduce and pass it next year.

Let's work this year to make sure Congress will feel the pressure to fully pass it in the House then send it to the Senate and with final passage, to the President's desk. Call your representative at 202-224-3121 and urge them to cosponsor the resolution as their sign of support.

In this Congress, your help was instrumental in getting 103 members of the House to sign on as cosponsors of Rep. Ralph Norman's resolution, and 18 for Sen. Ted Cruz's version in the Senate:

Are your Senators and Representative on these lists of cosponsors? If not, please call and ask they cosponsor it. 202-224-3121. While the resolution can't be voted on this year, they will be putting their name in support for next year, and that will encourage even more members to join the nationwide call for term limits for the House and Senate.
